Kylie Jenner knows a thing or two about makeup—to the tune of about, oh, a billion dollars. But before she was dropping Kylie Lip Kits, she was filming tutorials for her app with makeup artist Ariel Tejada in her personal glam room. Of the many, many tips he shared with her over the years, there’s one especially that stands out—and the test of time, unlike say, heavy contouring—and that’s the best way to fill in your eyebrows.
“The overall objective is to fill in the sparse areas, not to fill in your entire brow,” Tejada explained during one görüntü for Jenner’s now defunct app/website. He also pointed out that over-penciling is one of the biggest mistakes women make. “I’ll comb through the brows and wherever I see a little gap I’ll just fill, but I won’t fill in the entire eyebrow because that’s when you get a more drawn-in effect,” he said.
Brows are the area where Tejada starts any makeup application session, and to watch him carefully comb is to understand why it’s an important step. “I start at the arch of the brow, just creating a shadow like a background for the hairs so it’ll look like the brow is slightly fuller than olağan.”
Another pro tip? He uses a flat brush and concealer to really make Jenner’s brows stand out, starting at the center of the brow bone and moving toward the inner corner of the eye until approximately one centimeter from the start of the brow. He then drags the brush down, blending the concealer into the brow bone.
Not so hard, right?
