The mother of all high school reunions…streaming soon. The cast of MTV’s Laguna Beach, the pioneering early ’00s reality show that begat The Hills, has filmed a reunion special 22 years after the show premiered. Unlike the Hannah Montana special, it looks like they got all the major players to return, and while the show traded on high school drama (Love triangles! Lies! Rivalries! Addiction!), it seems everyone’s a bit older and wiser. In fact, it looks kind of…wholesome?
Here’s everything we know:
A new trailer re-creates the show’s opening credits.
Wait, this is so fun. New clips of the Laguners as adults are interspersed with the original opening credits to create a fun then-and-now comparison. Gotta say, everyone has aged quite well.
Everyone seems kinda chill?
In another trailer, we see the cast members sitting down to talk through their experience, and it all looks very copacetic. They seem to be able to laugh at their teen selves, and the crying appears reflective rather than angry. Damn, so mature.
Reality super-fan Casey Wilson will moderate the discussion.
In addition to being a hysterical actor and writer, Wilson is a devout student of reality television and hosts the podcast Bitch Sesh about the Real Housewives franchise. Born for this? Poss.

Here’s who’s back from the original Laguna Beach cast.
Original Laguna Beach cast members Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Kristin Cavallari, Trey Phillips, Talan Torriero, Christina Schuller, Lo Bosworth, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, Alex Hooser, and Morgan Olsen are all returning. One notable absence is Jason Wahler.
According to a press release, the participating cast members will “relive moments from the show that shaped a generation” and the special will feature “behind-the-scenes stories, cast reactions to iconic episodes, and a return to Laguna Beach, [as] they reflect on the friendships, love triangles, and drama that changed their lives.”
The anniversary will stream on Roku.
The Reunion: Laguna Beach premieres on the platform on April 10.
