What to Watch in March 2026: Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison, Outlander, and More

If you’re missing Landman, then good news: Taylor Sheridan’s The Madison premieres this month in what is being called his most personal series yet. Starring icons Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell as well as Suits veteran Patrick J. Wilson and Lost alum Matthew Fox, The Madison is a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation. It’s also one of the most stunningly beautiful series you’ll see.

The six-episode first season, which will air on Paramount+ in two parts, unfolds across two distinct worlds: Montana and New York. The drama will introduce the Clyburn family as they navigate grief and love in both Manhattan and the Madison River Valley of central Montana. (Based on the trailer, which you can see further down, it appears matriarch Stacey Clyburn—played by Pfeiffer—is grieving the loss of someone especially close to her. Who that might be? TBD.)

In addition to the all-star cast, Will Arnett plays a NY-based therapist. But from the looks of it, the series is centered on Pfeiffer, and we couldn’t be more excited. The Madison has also already been renewed for season two, and they’ve completed filming, which means we could easily see more episodes later this year. For more details, keep reading.

Another sweeping drama—Outlander—is also up this month as the series begins its countdown to the last episode, which airs in May. Even though there are two months of new episodes to look forward to, it’s bittersweet knowing that this will be the last time we’ll see Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in their signature roles. (Unless there’s a movie, of course, but no plans for that yet that we know of.) The season-seven finale ended on the cliffhanger that Jamie and Claire’s daughter, Faith, may not have died at birth and in fact may have become a mother of her own, giving birth to daughters Jane and Fanny. Now with Fanny in Jamie and Claire’s deva, expect a big plot point this season to be about what really happened to Faith as well as the inevitable reunion between Claire, Jamie, and Brianna, Roger, and the kids.

A week after Outlander premieres is the new season of Virgin River, which thankfully doesn’t have an end date in sight. All 10 episodes of the romantic drama will premiere on Thursday, March 12, on Netflix. Season seven is a classic, with plenty of romance, drama, mystery, and wholesome moments. And before you ask, “Has it been renewed for season eight?”—yes, yes it has. Evvel you finish watching the new season, come back to Glamour for answers from showrunner and executive producer Patrick Sean Smith.

Home, sweet home on Virgin River. (Or wait, is it Fraser’s Ridge?)

There are a lot of new shows premiering this month beyond The Madison, too, including Rooster, RJ Decker, Scarpetta, and The Faithful. The biggest talker of the bunch—and that’s saying a lot, because there are so many great offerings—is going to be Apple TV’s Imperfect Women. The limited series stars the A-list trio of Kerry Washington, Elisabeth Moss, and Kate Mara and is like if The White Lotus was set in a suburb and focused on the murder of either Jaclyn, Laurie, or Kate. (IYKYK.) Look for that on Wednesday, March 18, when the first two episodes premiere, followed by one a week.

Meanwhile, the final four episodes of Love Story: John F. Kennedy, Jr. & Carolyn Bessette airs this month. I’ll have much more coming about the series, which really ramps up the drama after last week’s Battery Park episode. Stay tuned for all that coverage on Glamour.

On the reality show/awards show front, the Actor Awards (previously known as the SAG Awards) streams tonight, live, on Netflix. The Oscars come to ABC and Hulu on Sunday, March 15. Then a week later, The Bachelorette premieres, with Taylor Frankie Paul in the lead on Sunday, March 22. Personally, I’m not crazy about Paul’s casting (more to come), but I’ve never seen people, including my coworkers, be more excited about a lead. So we’re certainly going to have a lot to talk about when the season premieres. I can’t wait.

On that note, the full list of what’s to come is below. I’ll see you back here next month for the return of Apple TV’s Your Friends & Neighbors, HBO’s Euphoria, Netflix’s Beef, and my favorite sports week/weekend of the year, The Masters.
