If Hailey Bieber is reentering her blonde era, she wins the prize for best soft launch. Over the weekend Bieber shared a photo dump of casual selfies, most of them showing her on the go with her son Jack Blues. But one of these shots is not like the others: The fourth image in the carousel shows Bieber with a platinum blonde bob.

Bieber has been committed to her shoulder-length lob and glossy chestnut color since December 2025. We last saw it flipped out at the ends for the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on March 15. So, naturally, a March 22 bleach blonde selfie leaves us with several questions: Throwback? Teaser? Dye job? All of the above?!
Bieber’s go-to colorist Matt Rez hasn’t shared any evidence of a blonde transformation for Mrs. Bieber…yet. The cut and color in the selfie she shared looks similar to Bieber’s 2020 blonde bob, but her toasty, blurred lip and ghost lashes feel very 2026. Despite the other photos in the post, which show off Bieber’s usual warm brunette color, consider us inspired.

Even if Hailey Bieber hasn’t gone platinum overnight, a big hair transformation isn’t out of the cards for her. Shortly after her son’s birth in August 2024, she commented on a fellow postpartum mom’s TikTok: “Let’s hold hands and agree to not make any big hair decisions postpartum! Personally giving myself at least a year!” With Jack’s second birthday coming up this summer, a new color could be on the horizon. And in any case, her bright blonde snapshot is great inspo for anyone looking to go lighter for summer.
If we know one thing about the model and Rhode founder, it’s that she’s always thinking one step ahead. She’s teased product launches with manicure colors in the past, so it’s probably safe to say that this platinum déjà vu moment means…something. Until her next post, we’ll be on watch for further proof of bleach.
