The latest star to join the Bravo-woman-who’s-been-publicly-humiliated to Dancing With the Stars pipeline? Why, Ciara Miller of course. The Summer House star, you might recall, was at the receiving end of a reality TV scandal that reverberated far beyond the confines of Bravo blogs and gossip podcasts when she found out earlier this month that her ex-boyfriend and her dear friend were in a sudden relationship, one with a potentially slippery timeline.
The newly invigorated dance competition announced select casting on Instagram Wednesday night, writing, “Everyone’s been talking about what her next move will be. It’s going to be in the ballroom 🤩 Watch @ciaramiller___ on #DWTS, this fall on ABC, Disney+, and Hulu!”

You also might recall that Ciara Miller, 30, is Glamour’s most recent cover star, and opened up to us exclusively in a wide-ranging interview about her feelings on Amanda Batula, West Wilson, dating interracially on television, some personal milestones, what’s ahead, and more.
Lately, it feels like women tested the most on reality TV get rewarded in big ways for how well they recover. Sometimes it’s with an influx of lucrative brand deals, hosting gigs, and even Broadway roles, but that journey appears to now begin with vying for the mirrorball trophy alongside one of the best and fan-loved male DWTS pros.

Following Bravo’s “Scandoval,” Ariana Madix—another Glamour cover star—turned a shitty situation into a full-blown career expansion, using the ballroom as a launchpad rather than a consolation prize. Following her impressive showing on the series, she promptly broke records in Chicago on Broadway, became the host of the buzziest dating show maybe ever, and generally seems to be thriving in every way possible.
Traitors star and fan favorite Maura Higgins was also announced as an upcoming cast member, as she’ll be competing against Miller and a handful of other stars who will be announced closer to the show’s premiere date in the ballroom this September.
Announcing these two early is a characteristically canny move by the show, which—as Glamour reported earlier this year—has undergone a rebrand that deserves to be the subject of media studies courses for years to come, which you can read about here.
No word on whether Miller, a former nurse and model, can actually dance, but we’re betting someone like Val Chmerkovskiy can coach her through every paso doble, jive, and quick step she’ll need to nail in order to get voted through week after week and—if all goes well and the pipeline is still doing its job—end up getting pelted with roses eight times a week as Roxy Hart.
Amanda Batula, meanwhile, has been out here hitting the New York City post-college bars with Wilson, which somehow feels like less of flex, but to each their own.
