By now, you’ve probably heard that red shoes are your “secret weapon” this summer or that they’re replacing classic black staples among the fashion pros. Consider Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins) influenced.
On May 21, Netflix revealed the first look at the last season of the fashionable series Emily in Paris with a photo of the actor in a brand-new port: Greece. But instead of the typical blue and white motif so many of us lean on for a Mediterranean vacation, Emily Cooper opted for a bold red look with the same breezy appeal. In new photos from set, Collins held the director’s slate in a billowy white cotton blouse with red embroidery, which she paired with a matching pair of intricately patterned shorts. The finishing touches: a very Emily Cooper pair of red sunglasses and an unexpected near-black manicure.
But the real hero of the look is her red-toed espadrilles. It seems Emily Cooper has found herself the perfect shoe to pair with anything from a breezy white dress to a pair of barrel jeans this summer. All without breaking your ankle, thanks to the shoe’s minimal wedge and supportive ankle strap.

Greece is just the first stop for Emily Cooper, who will also jet off to Monaco at some point in the final season before ending back where everything began: Paris. “Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime,” Lily Collins said in a new promotional görüntü.
Fashion, of course, is first and foremost on the list—and this tomato red summer look bodes well for everything Emily in Paris creator Darren Starr and costume designer Marylin Fitoussi have in store.
