Well that didn’t end the the way we thought it would. Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson have split over cheating allegations.

Last July, the Grammy-winning rapper and NBA player soft-launched their relationship with a few coy hints on Instagram before confirming their romance with unambiguous PDA at the rapper’s Pete & Thomas Foundation gala in New York City. “We met and it was such a meet cute it was like a fucking movie,” Megan told People at the time. “I won’t tell you how and I won’t tell you when, but it was a movie.”

Sadly, it seems like the credits are rolling just shy of their one-year anniversary—and many of their cinematic moments have been removed from Megan the Stallion’s social media pages. Here’s a complete timeline of their relationship, with the most recent updates on top.

April 25, 2026: Megan Thee Stallion suggests Klay Thompson cheated in a scathing Instagram story post. “Cheating, had me around your whole family, playing house…got ‘cold feet,’” she begins the post. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’??? Bitch I need a REAL break after this one..Bye, yall.”

She then shares an official statement with press outlets. “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” Megan says, per People. “Trust, fidelity, and respect are nonnegotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Of course, the rapper and Broadway star’s fans, known as Hotties, are devastated for her.

February 23, 2026: In a YouTube short that’s still up, Megan congratulates Team USA athletes Brittany Bowe and Hilary Knight on their engagement, adding that she’s “manifesting my engagement, too.”

February 13, 2026: Megan opens up about her relationship with People, noting she’s “comfy” with the basketball player.

She says the romance found her after she spent time focusing on her own healing and mental health journey. “Maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right,” she says. “This is one of the first times that I’ve ever been just overly comfortable. I’m comfy, babe!”

November 30, 2025: Klay reveals his bot is named “SS Stallion” in an Instagram Story.

November 27, 2025: Megan cooks Thanksgiving dinner for Thompson’s family. “I was really nervous, ‘cause I was like, Dang, I’m really finna cook for my man and his whole family,” she says in the since-deleted görüntü, per People. “I hope they love this because I got to show them that I really love they son!”

November 13, 2025: Thompson defends Megan against “disgusting and disturbing” comments made by retired NBA player Jason Williams on his Hoopin’ N Hollerin’ podcast. In one clip shared on Instagram, Williams uses derogatory language to suggest Thompson’s game was suffering because of his relationship with the rapper.

Thompson replies directly in the podcast’s comment section, writing, “Referring to my GF as a ‘p*ssy’ is so disgusting and disturbing. Especially from someone who played in the NBA. How would yall feel if I referred to your wives in such a way? Do better fellas. Very disappointing.”

July 23, 2025: Thompson drops the L-word amid Megan’s golf-date chronicals. “Ever since I’ve been in love, my golf game’s reaped all the benefits,” he says in the social media posts, per People.

July 19, 2025: The pair show off their joint workout routine on TikTok. In one part of the since-deleted clip, Megan gets some support from Thompson as she does pull-ups, with the NBA player holding onto her rear. “I don’t think I needed that much assistance, but I think that was his favorite part of the workout,” she says in görüntü, to which he replies, “I’m spotting you!”

July 16, 2025: Welp, no more guessing here! Thompson accompanies Megan to her Pete & Thomas Foundation gala on July 16, and the couple leaves no room for “just friends” allegations. This is a couple if we’ve ever seen one!

On the red carpet, the rapper gushed to Page Six that she’d “never dated somebody so kind.”

“This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a birçok person, and he makes me genuinely happy,” she said. “I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side and he feels the same way about me.”

She also opened up about one of their shared passions: Love Island. The “Savage” rapper, who made a cameo on Love Island USA this season, told the outlet that between the two of them, Thompson is “the real Love Island fan.”

She wouldn’t tell People how they met, but said it was “such a meet cute it was like a f-cking movie.”

July 13, 2025: Megan shares more photos with her pink stiletto nails and curly hair look. Though Thompson was not included in any of the snaps, fans were still asking about him in the comments.

July 12, 2025: Thompson shares Instagram photos that appear to feature Megan. He is cozied up with a curly-haired woman in one photo, while they hold hands in another—her pink stiletto nails quite visible.

Fans quickly noticed the “Savage” rapper has been rocking the same pink stiletto nails in recent vacation photos. The sign in the background of one of Thompson’s pics suggests the pair took a trip to the Bahamas.

Despite the angles that obscured the woman’s face, fans were quick to make the connection to Megan’s recent Instagram post. “Meg dating you is not gonna stop her from marrying me! count your days! ❤️,” one fan responded, while another quoted Keke Palmer, writing, “I KNOW IT AINT I KNOW AINT THE STALLIONNNNNNN.”

In case you’re curious, neither Megan nor Thompson follow each other on Instagram as of July 13.

July 9, 2025: Rumors kick off when fans notice Thompson in the background of Megan’s swimsuit photos. Yes, Megan is wearing the same pink nails we previously mentioned.

The Instagram account @hoopsnation replied to the photos, writing, “Klay?” That comment received more than 10,000 likes. Even Benefit Cosmetics got in on the speculation, commenting, “Soft launch. 👀🫨☄️”

July 1, 2024: Thompson signs with the Dallas Mavericks after 13 years with the Golden State Warriors, putting him in the Megan Thee Stallion’s home state of Texas.
