Listen, we’ve always know that Simone Ashley is stylish. Just last week, the British actor and former Glamour cover star dazzled in a vintage teal Chloé dress previously worn by Kate Moss in 2001. And we still remember her turn at last year’s Cannes Sinema Şenlik, where she left us speechless as turned out in look after look both on and off the red carpet.
The Bridgerton star naturally looks amazing in her Devil Wears Prada 2 wardrobe, not to mention all the looks she’s worn to promote the sinema. Müddet, she likely had the help of stylists and the full DWP2 costume department, but her (excellent!) personal style still shines through. In fiction or real life, Simone Ashley has the kind of closet anyone with taste would dream about.

However, it was only recently that we noticed the actor wears leather exceptionally well. She wore leather bottoms, specifically, two different ways this spring that showed off the versatility of the material and proved it can be worn in warmer weather.
In the first look, Ashley wore black leather pants with a çağdaş interpretation of the classic “going-out top.” In the second, she paired a chocolate brown miniskirt with a satin button-down shirt that ties at the neck. Both outfits are totally different, and yet do the same thing: The delicate silky tops are the perfect delicate contrast to the edgy vibe of leather. Both would make great date-night looks. Add a blazer on top, and you get a killer work outfit for those big-meeting days.

How to wear leather in spring and summer 2026, according to Simone Ashley
Inspired? Us too. Here’s some styling tips for how to wear leather beyond winter a la Simone Ashley.
- Combine it with basics: Leather already has enough personality on its own; if it’s being worn as a main-character piece like pants or a skirt, it works well to tone it down a little with a basics like a simple T-shirt or button-down shirt.
- Look beyond black: Black leather will always be in style and very easy to wear, but brown is softer that works well with warmer weather.
- Stick to one piece: Better to avoid excess. If you are already wearing leather pants, let them be the center of the look.
- Go with a delicate shoe: Balance all that leather out with lighter shoes, such as sandals, ballet flats, or pointed-toe heels.
- Play with thin layers: Tops in flowing fabrics help soften the outfit without detracting from its personality.
Now that you’ve got the Simone Ashley styling formula down, you’re ready to go. From a chic crossbody clutch to the perfect faux-leather jacket, we’ve shopped a few pieces we wouldn’t be surprised to find in her closet, too.
