Getting bored with rewearing the same pair of jeans over and over again? Yeah, me too. Enter two-tone jeans as the perfect fix.

Each season, new styles and washes of denim enter the trend cycle that make me think, what if I just bought one more pair. But with these, there was no second guessing needed. With their contrasting colors and effortlessly cool vibe, two-toned jeans have arrived as a fun way to elevate an outfit without feeling over-the-top about it. Dress them up with a oversized blazer and ballet flats for a more polished look, or keep it casual with a simple tee and sneakers. Either way, it’s a look.

The surge of two-toned denim should have come as no surprise. After all, track pants and two-toned shoes are also one of summer’s biggest trends. With both, the contrast of colors add dimension and an unexpected element to an outfit. It makes a statement, while still being totally wearable. Two-tone styles are the easiest way to change up your go-to outfit formula without have to go outside your comfort zone.

Celebrities like Amanda Seyfried, Katie Holmes, and Sarah Pidgeon get it. All of have recently stepped out in two-tone jeans, offering perfect inspo on how to style this trend in the process.

Amanda Seyfried and Katie Holmes both embraced the two-toned denim trend in a classic, easy way. Pairing them with black sling backs or Mary Janes and a relaxed-fit top creates a look that feels put together but not overly fussy. The contrast down the length of the jeans adds a subtle touch of personality, giving the outfit a bit more visual interest without being distracting.

Meanwhile, Sarah Pidgeon’s barrel jeans version works exceptionally well with bright red pumps. The pop of red instantly adds a feminine, confident touch to the jeans, and the lines on the pants help lengthen the silhouette while drawing the eye downward to her statement shoes. Add a black blazer, and you’ve got a sophisticated look.

The street style star pictured above also used a pop of red with her two-tone jeans; this time, by way of a red sweater tied around her shoulders. Between that and the jeans, the look doesn’t need anything more than a simple white T-shirt and black sandals.

Convinced yet? I shopped out some of my favorite two-tone jeans available right now.
