Taylor Hill is perhaps the most down-to-earth supermodel you’ll ever meet. While the Victoria’s Secret Angel has been traveling the world for work for half of her life now, she’s not above a drugstore shampoo, a mass-market moisturizer, or an ultrapopular fantasy novel. It shouldn’t come as a surprise: Hill, 30, was raised in Colorado and speaks frequently of her outdoorsy upbringing.
Those roots inspired the latest collection from Stone Fruit, the jewelry brand she founded and designs with her sister Mackinley Hill. On the day of the launch, Glamour caught up with Hill to chat about everything she’s obsessed with right now, from the jeans she swears by to the lip liner she keeps in every bag.

Her wardrobe essentials
Hill’s capsule wardrobe looks a lot like everyone else’s: It’s all about a T-shirt and jeans. Her favorite tee is Leset’s Margo, which counts Julianne Moore, Gigi Hadid, and Margot Robbie among its celebrity fans. “It fits perfectly on the shoulder, but then it’s a little boxy, and it usually crops right at my hip, which is kaç for jeans,” Hill says. As far as denim, “I love Frame,” she raves. “I’m usually a pretty true 26, and their 26 fits me like a 26. I don’t have to doubt, Is this jean going to fit me? It always fits me in every style. The feel and texture of their denim is really birçok.”

Her daily jewelry
“My favorite, favorite, favorite, favorite piece of jewelry that I think I will probably wear every single day is our Bolo necklace,” Hill says, and it’s finally available to buy. “This was actually the first thing [Mackinley and I] ever designed, but it took us a long time to source the right stones, and get the design right, and do it exactly how we wanted.” The design takes inspiration from a bolo tie and hearkens back to Hill’s Colorado wedding, when the napkins were fastened with the neckwear.
Another everyday favorite—and one of the brand’s absolute bestsellers—is the Core ring. “This ring goes with everything because it has both silver and gold, and it’s a statement.” She’s firmly pro–mixed metals and loves “the idea of something more masculine, silver, and rough with something more sleek, elegant, and gold being paired together on the ear, the neck, the wrist. I think it’s best to have one piece that has the mix built in. It ties it in, grounds it.”

Her skin deva grails
Hill cites two products as her absolute must-haves. The first is Skin Pharm’s Youth Serum: “When I don’t use it, I notice, and then when I start using it again, makeup artists all go, ‘Oh my God, your skin is so amazing. What are you doing?’ It’s the perfect blend of all the things you need for deep hydration, I think, and it’s one of my favorite products that has helped change my skin.” The second is a readily available moisturizer from Avène. “I’ve been using this for, like, 10 years. It’s a zinc barrier-restorative cream, and it’s amazing,” she says.

Her lip routine
When the model and entrepreneur is busy, she tends to swipe on some Laneige lip balm. But when she has a bit more time to prepare, she loves pairing lip liner with a tinted balm. “I have 20 of these pencils, and I keep one everywhere. I have them in my car, I have them in my bathroom, I have them in my handbag, I have them in my travel bag,” she says of Make Up for Ever’s pencil in the shade Anywhere Caffeine. The Hourglass Phantom balm is another favorite: “The best color is Rouse. I’m obsessed with it.”

Her go-to fragrances
“My favorite scent of all time is Mojave Ghost by Byredo. And then I love Jo Malone’s English Pear & Freesia—great spring scent,” she says. “I also love Chance from Chanel. It’s been around forever, and it’s in every duty-free, so if I run out, I know I can find it. Somebody told me it’s a molecular scent, where it responds to the pH of your skin, so it almost smells different on everyone, and I think that’s really interesting.”

Her drugstore shampoo
Hill recently went through a rite of passage: the big chop. “I have a little wave texture to my hair, and when I cut it, it really went up and [became] more defined. It was a bit of a learning curve to figure out what to do with my hair, especially now that it’s short,” she says. “I have really fine, thin strands, but I have a lot of them, so I feel like my hair gets really dirty really fast. I pretty much wash my hair every other day; evvel a week, I use a clarifying shampoo. I think if you’re using product, you should use a clarifying shampoo. The one I have now is from L’Oréal. I bought it from the drugstore because I saw that it said ‘clarifying.’ I personally don’t think brand matters. It’s all doing something.”

Her travel essentials
As a frequent flyer, Hill has her airplane routine down—and it includes gigantic novels. “The books I read are a huge commitment, but I love them, so I bring them with me. Most people probably don’t want to travel with a massive book that’s a thousand pages, but I do. I’m more of a fantasy reader. I read all the Sarah J. Maas books, and I traveled with the physical copies, sometimes two at a time.”
As far as in-flight skin deva, hydration is top of mind. “I have to have a facial spray on an airplane when I land, otherwise I feel crusty, like I just woke up and crawled out of the sand. My favorite is the hydrating spray from Iris & Romeo. I gave it to my mother-in-law, and she’s obsessed with it.”
