Since it looks as though we aren’t invited to Zendaya’s wedding to Tom Holland, we’ll have to make do with the wedding-themed press tour for her new sinema with Robert Pattinson.

Who’s in the cast of The Drama?
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson play Emma and Charlie, the central lovebirds.
Alana Haim and Mamadou Athie (Jurassic World: Dominion) appear to play their best friends, also a married couple, who stick by Charlie after, well, The Drama.
Michael Abbott Jr. (Killers of the Flower Moon), Sydney Lemmon (Succession), and Hailey Gates (Challengers) also have supporting roles and are seen at the wedding, while Zoë Winters (Succession) plays their wedding photographer.
When is The Drama’s release date?
Save the date: The Drama hits theaters April 3, 2026.
What is The Drama about?
The logline reads: “Days before their wedding, a couple’s relationship is shaken when one partner discovers unsettling truths about the other.” While we previously thought “discovered” meant that suspicions led to investigation led to discovery, the trailer revealed two key points. First, it’s Emma (Zendaya) who committed some unspeakable act in her past, and second, that she confesses almost out of the blue when challenged by her friends to admit the worst thing she’s ever done. We also learn that Emma doesn’t have much experience in love, pre-Charlie.
The Drama is written and directed by Kristoff Borgli, a Norwegian filmmaker whose most recent project, Dream Scenario, starred Nicolas Cage.

They knew what they were doing with this. They knew if they put Pattinson in a T-shirt and glasses and rumpled his hair, and posed the two of them casually in a grainy photo that people would think, for a millisecond, that he might be Tom Holland.
The moment the poster went live on Instagram, commenters rushed in to post that one GIF of Spider-Man fighting Batman (for Zendaya). They also pointed out that with Pattinson joining the cast of the third Dune sinema, he and Zendaya will costar in three films released in 2026 (they are also both in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey).
What else do we know about Emma and Charlie?
A24 sent out the official RSVP on February 14, blasting out the online form alongside new Polaroids from the sinema. If you go to their official wedding website, charlieandemmaforever.com, you’ll learn a lot of new info about the happy(ish?) couple.

At 48 days before release day, we have learned a bit more about the soon-to-be lawfully wedded duo’s story, thanks to their wedding website, which also features a helpful FAQ sheet about the wedding rules and things to do in Boston while you’re in town for the big day.
Here is their official story:
“Charlie first spotted Emma at a coffee shop one fall afternoon and somehow worked up the nerve to say hello. What started out as a bit of a trainwreck ended with them exchanging numbers—which soon led to three hour phone calls about everything and nothing, lazy Sundays camped out in parks and bookstores, and late-night diner runs where Emma ordered burgers so rare they were practically mooing. Two years of laughing until their ribs hurt later, and they’re ready to make it official. Come celebrate their next chapter.”
If you were wondering, the pair are, in fact, having a child-free and cell-phone-free wedding. Not attending? “Not an option.”
Is there a trailer?
Oh yeah. And it reveals a lot without revealing The Thing. We get to see Charlie and Emma’s meet-cute at a café and see some of their domestic bliss, from funny pranks to Emma’s unusual laugh.
We also get a cleverly spoiler-free taste of the big twist, revealed during a double date. Alana Haim’s character challenges them all to reveal the worst thing they’ve ever done, and we see that for Pattinson, Haim, and Athie, these admissions generate shock and laughter. But when Zendaya drops her truth bomb, everyone gets angry, disgusted, and scared.
Did she kill someone? Kidnap someone? Assault someone? We’ll know soon!
