While we were excited for the Met Gala 2026 for a myriad of reasons—including all the incredible outfits on the red carpet—we’d be lying if we said there wasn’t a certain, diamond-related reason for our curiosity: Zoë Kravitz and her newly obtained bling.
And yet, despite the news of her engagement to Harry Styles, The Batman actor was seen at this year’s event without the former One Direction star. She also had her hand in her pocket, carefully concealing her ring finger. Later, photos of her revealed that she had foregone her engagement ring for the evening completely.

Don’t panic (or hope, depending on your perspective), she hasn’t called off the engagement just yet. Zoë Kravitz arrived with Anthony Vaccarello, and the pair were photographed together on the steps of the Met.
If you’re asking, who exactly is Anthony Vaccarello? Here’s what you need to know: He’s the creative director of Saint Laurent and also a co-chair of the 2026 Met Gala Host Committee, which explains his very front-row, very intentional presence on this night. Both he and Zoë Kravitz are dressed in Saint Laurent, naturally.
Zoë, meanwhile, delivered full spectacle in a black lace interpretation of the naked dress trend, leaning into a dramatic, almost period-inspired silhouette. It feels like she could step straight out of a painting…or onto a sinema set immediately after.
Why did Harry Styles not arrive with Zoë Kravitz at the Met Gala 2026?
It’s possible that Harry was dressed by a different designer and will be arriving with other celebrities wearing the same. If that’s the case, he and Zoë may be entering separately in order to give each other a carefully choreographed red carpet moment and not draw attention away from their impressive outfits.

Zoë entered keeping her left hand firmly in her pocket. Yes, it’s a see-through lace dress, and yet somehow we couldn’t spot that massive engagement ring on her finger. Evvel inside, however, Zoë removed her hand and was clearly spotted without the engagement ring.
I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions, though. This may be a case of fitting a specific design for the evening, or being unable to showcase another brand’s jewelry. But if you must know: Zoë Kravitz is not wearing her engagement ring at the 2026 Met Gala, as you can see in this photo:
The couple’s engagement was confirmed on April 27 by People, with an insider telling the publication that the couple shared the news with “a small circle.” Naturally, many were hoping the Met Gala would serve as their official couple “hard launch,” considering they’ve yet to make a formal public event appearance together.
